So What Specifically Is Google Adsense And Why Are People Earning Money Using It?

Those involved in Internet marketing have some idea of the rewards of Google Adsense and earning money. Among the rewards of using Google Adsense is the fact that it can be used for earning money and it is worth spending some time to see how Adsense does this.

Google Adsense involves placing focused ads on sites with the cooperation of the owner of that website. Once publishers have created the ads, they are used to both sell products and create brand awareness. These ads are named Adwords, which is also a program sponsored by Google.

There is a very tight relationship between Google Adwords and Adsense. Whenever an ad is clicked by a user performing a search on Google or one of their partner networks, the ad creator pays an amount of money to Google. This is where the term “pay per click” comes from.

Where Adsense comes into its own, is that the website owner or host receives a portion of the money that Google has received from the creator of the Adwords ad. The size of this percentage split is a secret, but for our calculations we will assume 50%.

For example if the Adwords ad generates .40 per click, then the Adsense program pays the website host .20 when the ad is clicked on their website. The 50% that is left will be kept by Google. So basically it is a partnership of sorts between Google and website owners.

The Adsense program displays itself in a highly relevant way. How is this achieved? Well, probably the best way to illustrate this would be through an example. Let’s say Mary had a website featuring women’s clothing. If Mary wished to utilize the Google Adsense scheme on her website, the ads would be for women’s clothing. If one of her pages focussed on shoes, then the Adsense ad there would also focus on shoes.

By what dynamic is price per click determined? What comes in here is the Adwords side of the equation. Adwords publishers bid on keywords. The publisher will be willing to pay more for each click if the keyword is more lucrative or sought after. Keywords can be as high as $50 and above per click or as low as a few cents per click.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see someone making some nice money by putting Google Adsense on their website and if their website is generating a decent amount of traffic. Specific content is created by Internet marketers with the sole purpose of attracting high paying Adsense ads. Top Internet marketers are earning money in excess of $10,000 a month on Adsense, and you can too!
