One of the top income opportunities on the web is Google Adsense and picking the right Adsense keywords is not that smooth, because the secret to success is finding keywords with little competition and high returns.

Use these steps below and you will be able to find profitable, low competitive keywords for your Adsense ads and reap the benefits of one of the top income opportunities. Copy and paste this information back into your spreadsheet file for later reference.

Step 2 A good estimate of the maximum revenue per click as an Adsense publisher is calculated as 30% of the regular CPC so that you can determine the top income opportunities. It’s essential to start with as high a starting CPC regular as you can because to tends to yield higher CPC’s for next positions (2nd to 8th) which holds up profits if there is a big drop after 3rd place.

Step 3 Next, estimate the 1st - 8th position CPC values with the many tools available over the internet. Another way to estimate this is to use the Adwords Accelerator tool. It has a feature whereby Adwords ads are dynamically displayed for a given keyword you input into the tool to check. If the Adwords advertiser has used “Adwords for Content” in his advertising, these ads will be the Adsense ads someone else is displaying on their website.

Step 5 A profitable keyword, and a great income opportunities, will probably bring up the same ads you got in step four when you use a function tool to check keywords. These tools are widely available on the web.

When the advertiser do not use ‘Adwords for Content’ mode of advertising, the advertisers shown will not be the same. When the keyword is not the basis of the Adsense ads, it may turn out to be unprofitable.

Step 6 Now you must get the traffic. If you decide to get traffic using the Adwords approach, then just use the keywords in your Adsense ads that scored well from the above evaluation. Then, use lower cost per click keywords in your Adwords ads. The difference between the earnings from the click you get on your Adsense word from the cost of the click you pay on your Adwords word will be your profit.

Pick keywords that have the highest KEI if you are planning to use search engine optimization techniques to generate traffic to the website where your ads are as these are the top income opportunities. KEI can be calculated by taking the ratio of the number of searches for a keyword to the number of competing sites having the keyword. The combination of a high KEI and a high score from the above evaluation will yield the top profit results.
